Year-in-Review
2012 was a year heavily influenced by local fire departments. From the funeral of Fire Department of North Huron Chief John Black, which brought hundreds to Blyth, to negotiations between councils for fire coverage, fire suppression was a hot topic.
2013 was a year of good and bad news for Huron County including the announcement of the 2017 International Plowing Match being held in the county, the destruction and subsequent closing of Brussels MDL Doors or opening of Maitland River Elementary School
2014 was a year of big news in North Huron. Whether it was dealing with the deepest spans of the polar vortex, learning of the 2017 International Plowing Match being set in Walton or the creation of the Brussels Leo Club, every community had news.
