Vernon Elliott "Pal" Somers

Vernon Elliott “Pal” Somers passed away peacefully at Wingham & District Hospital on Nov. 8, 2017. He was in his 75th year.

Pal was the brother of George and Fannie; uncle of Ross (Judy), Rick (Deb), Randy (Tammie) and Janice (Bill) Smith; uncle-in-law of Dianne and great-uncle of many great-nieces and -nephews. Pal will be sadly missed by furry friend Charlie. He was predeceased by his parents Verna and William Somers and nephew Roger.

Pal loved to talk and listen. He had the kindest heart and never put himself first.

Friends and family were received at Riverside Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, Nov. 10. The funeral service was held on Saturday, Nov. 11. Interment was in Brussels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brussels Cemetery or the Alzheimer Society of Huron County would be appreciated.
