Shirley Doreen (née England) Smith

Shirley Doreen (née England) Smith, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her own home on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018. She was in her 85th year.

Shirley was the beloved wife of Ross of 65 years and the loving mom of Greg and Brenda, Ken and Lynda, Rob and Jeff. She was the adoring grandma of Cherie (Mike) Weston, Julie Smith, Jason (Mandy) Smith, Lisa (Jason) Montgomery, Cory (Erin) Smith, Blair (Erica) Smith, Jamie Smith, Christa (Mike) Haggitt, Michelle (Curt) Verstoep, Jolanda (Kenny) Smith, Jenelle Smith and Janessa Smith and great-grandmother of Jessica, Josh, Travis, Tanner and Colton Smith, Tre Smith, Mia and Aliya Haggitt, Alexis Smith, Cala and Landon Montgomery, Tyler and Lucas Weston.

Shirley is survived by sister Marg McLeod and many in-laws. She wil be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family were received at Riverside Funeral Home for visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The funeral service was held Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Interment was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ethel.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre would be appreciated.
