Sharon Jeffrey (née Somerville)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Jeffrey (née Somerville), the beautiful and beloved wife and  teammate to Larry for 53 years. Sharon passed away on Dec. 24, 2017 in her 74th year.

Sharon was the loving mother of Melaine (Brian) Buffinga, Bluewater  and Todd (Carrie) Jeffrey, Barrie and the proud Nana of Connor and Lauren. She is survived by brother Paul (Carolyn) Somerville, Walton and her cousin and lifelong friend/twin Barb MacDonald. She was the dear aunt of her many nieces and nephews, as well as countless adored cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Margaret Somerville, brother Tom, sister Elaine and brother Brian.

Sharon had a passion in helping others. She enjoyed music and dancing, flower gardens and her cats. Everyone who knew her caring ways and her vibrant smile, will miss her presence within the community. She enjoyed dedicating her time for the past 50 years to the Catholic Women’s League and St. Peter’s choir, as well as helping Larry at the Knights of Columbus.

The family has respectfully chosen a private visitation only.

Funeral mass was held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Goderich, on Saturday, Dec. 30. A reception followed at the Columbus Community Centre. 

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Huron County Hospice or One Care Support Services or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
