Ruth Jardin

Ruth Jardin of Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015. She was in her 99th year.

The former Ruth Straughan was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Ashley Jardin, who predeceased her in 2005.  Ruth was the dear mother of Donald and Dorothy Jardin, New Hamburg; Lyman and Carol Jardin, Port Alberni, British Columbia; Paul and Crystal Jardin, Kitchener; Bonnie and Mark Garner, Fullarton and Harold and Nancy Jardin, Belgrave. She was the cherished grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of 12. Ruth was predeceased by her parents William and Elva Straughan, and her sister Anne (Clayton) Robertson. Ruth will be fondly remembered by friends and neighbours in the Wingham, Auburn, Blyth and Belgrave areas.

In keeping with Ruth’s wishes, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place.

A service to celebrate Ruth’s life will take place at Knox United Church, Auburn on Friday, May 29 at 11 a.m.

As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Knox United Church, Auburn or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Falconer Funeral Homes.
