Ross Nichol

Ross Nichol of RR 4, Brussels, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015 at Seaforth Community Hospital. Born in Morris Township on Sept. 29, 1923, Ross was in his 93rd year.

Ross was the beloved husband for 33 years to the late Della Thynne, and for 27 years to the late Barbara Anne Warrington. He was the dear father of Margaret and Ian Harris, Shelburne; Hugh and Susan Nichol, Kincardine; Paul and Kathy Nichol, Brussels; Ron and Gayle Prout, Brussels and Janet Prout and Pete Tuckey, Exeter and the loving grandfather of Joanna, Daniel and Christina, Carolyn and Jonathan, Stefan, Terry and Mariel, Cody, Josh, Megan, Annie and Robert, Dylan, Ethan and Seth. Ross was predeceased by his sister Thelma and his adopted sister Adah.

Friends were received by the family on Oct. 24 and again one hour prior to the funeral service which was conducted at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels on Sunday, Oct. 25. Don Vair officiated. Remembrances of Ross were given by Gayle and Kathy, his niece Vonne Brister, his grandson Seth and his friend Roger Richards.

Cremation followed with his remains to be interred at Brussels Cemetery.
