Ross Anderson

Ross Anderson of Belgrave passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was 94.
Ross was the beloved husband of Barbara (Michie) Anderson, Belgrave and loving father of Richard Anderson and Anne-Catherine Jean, Goderich; Nancy and Rick Ball, Hanover; Doreen Anderson-Roy and Rob Roy, Peterborough and Sheila Anderson-Cousins and Doug Cousins, Guelph. He was the cherished grandfather of eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Ross was the brother of Donna and the late Les Shaw and Lloyd and Eleanor Anderson. He was predeceased by his parents John and Myrtle (Wheeler) Anderson and sister Marie Anderson.
Ross was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force and served overseas as a radar technician during the Second World War. Following the war, Ross and Barbara married and operated the hardware store in Belgrave for over 40 years.
In addition, Ross was a licensed electrician and plumber and was the “go to guy” for electrical and plumbing problems in the Belgrave area.
Upon retirement, Ross and Barbara built a new home in Belgrave and enjoyed travelling and hosting many memorable family gatherings.
Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home Ltd., Wingham on July 29. The funeral service was held at the funeral home chapel on July 30. Elly Dow officiated. Interment was at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.
