Robert “Bob” Thompson

At Wingham and District Hospital on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024, Robert “Bob” Thompson of Wingham passed away at the age of 82.

 

The devoted dad of Joe Thompson of Burlington and Rob and Marcia Thompson of Elmira, Bob was the loving grandad of Samantha and Cole. Bob will be missed dearly by his partner Janette Martin and her children: Stacey, Jody and Kelly and their families.  

 

He was the cherished brother of Bill and Shirley Thompson, and Sharon Stackhouse and brother-in-law of Dorothy Thompson. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. 

 

He is predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy (Garniss) Thompson, brothers Jim, Donnie and John (Margaret) Thompson, sister Kathleen (Scott) McLennan.

 

The funeral service will be held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
