Robert “Bob” Edward Percival
Robert “Bob” Edward Percival, formerly of Kincardine, passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Monday, May 23, 2022. He was in his 87th year.
Bob was the cherished husband of the late Marguerite “Margie” Percival (née Arnold) (2019) and the loving father of Heather Percival, Seaforth; David (Dianne) Percival, Nova Scotia and Valerie Percival (Shawn Barber), Ottawa.
He will be missed by his grandchildren, Craig Perkes, Stuart Perkes, Lauren Percival, Owen Barber and Theo Barber.
Bob will be fondly remembered by his brother William “Bill” Percival, his sister Helen (John) Beynon, his brother-in-law George (Marion) Arnold and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Nellie (née Purkis) Percival, son-in-law Doug Perkes and sisters-in-law Patricia Percival (2005) and Beverley Woods-Percival (2019).
Bob will be remembered for his ability to fix anything, his love of singing in the Kincardine Community Singers and the apples from his orchard. He is now back in the arms of his beloved Margie.
Visitation was held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Friday and Saturday followed by the memorial service honouring Bob’s life. Rev. Mary Farmer officiated.
Bob’s final resting place is in Kincardine Cemetery.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Huron County or the Salvation Army appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
