Robert “Bob” Cameron Cochrane

Robert “Bob” Cameron Cochrane of Ethel passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, in his 70th year.

 

The loving father of Cassie Cassidy (David Free) of Walkerton, Diane Cochrane of Brussels, and Robert Cochrane (Candace Wilson) of Lucknow, Bob was the proud grandfather of Myles, Max, Chase, Josie, Chloe, Owen, and Jackson.

 

He was the friend and companion of Darlene Schnock of Listowel and the son of June (Cathers) Cochrane of Listowel and the late Stuart, brother of Don and Evon Cochrane, Steve and Jennifer Cochrane, and Brenda and Bill Pearson, all of Ethel, Diane and Gary Hutton of Alberta, and Doug and Janet Cochrane of Walton, and brother-in-law of Brian Purcell.  

 

Bob will be loved and remembered also by his many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

 

He was predeceased by his sister Beth Purcell.

 

Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Feb. 25 and the funeral service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel, on Wednesday, Feb. 26. 

 

Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel.

 

Memorial donations to the Ethel Fire Department or Wingham Hospital oncology program would be appreciated.
