Robert Bevan Elliott

Robert Bevan Elliott passed into his next journey on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Seaforth Community Hospital.

Bert had just celebrated his 87th birthday with his sister Evelyn. They were the only two surviving siblings of five. Ross, Marie and Ted will be very pleased to see their brother. Their loving parents  Samuel Bevan and Bertha Elliott have one more son home.

Bert lived his life with a true heart, a love of learning and passion. He believed in serving his community, and sat on the Huron County School Board, Huron County Cream Producers’ Board, Wingham Fire Board, Blyth Fire Board, Blyth Community Centre Board, Bluevale Hall Board and the Morris Township Federation of Agriculture. He was proud to serve as the Reeve of Morris Township for six years and sat on council for 15 years. 

Bert’s two sons Robert Jr. and Ted predeceased him. He is survived by his daughter Linda and his two loving granddaughters Ashley and Alexandra.  At the moment of his passing, he was surrounded by his family and love.

Friends were received by the family on Wednesday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 30 at 11 a.m. Burial will take place in Brussels Cemetery.
