Richard Duncan Fritz

Richard Duncan Fritz passed away peacefully on June 14 in Brussels in his 76th year.

 

The loving partner of the late Jeannine Robillard, Rick was the proud dad of Dave Fritz (Kelly MacNeill). He was the adoring grandpa of Tyler (Carley), Jocelyn, and Rory (Connor).

 

Rick was the brother of Don Fritz (Marie) and he will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

He was predeceased by siblings Jim (Barb), Brian (Marilyn), Marg (Doug).

 

Rick was born in Listowel, owning his own construction business in Kincardine and then, after retirement, working at Lake Huron Rod and Gun. He loved to hunt and fish on Lake Huron and chase geese in the side-by-side. Rick liked chatting and catching up with everyone. He was genuinely interested in hearing what people had to say.

 

Rick was a loving dad and grandfather, never being afraid to let someone know how he felt. He taught his family to love one another unconditionally, to have a good work ethic and to be kind to those who needed it. He was very humorous, always cracking jokes and showing off his infectious smile. Rick was the proudest of his family and their accomplishments and he loved to visit and be part of family gatherings. His wonderful presence will be missed by many.

 

Cremation has taken place,

 

A come-and-go celebration of Rick’s life will take place on Friday, June 28, starting at 2 p.m. at 43410 Moncrieff Road, Brussels.
In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated.
