Reta June (née Cousins) Johnston

Mrs. Reta June (née Cousins) Johnston passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on July 27, 2022. She was in her 87th year.

 

Reta was the loving wife of Bob Elliott for 47 years. She was the sister of Ruth (Marty) Buchannan, Shirley Gilbert and Don Cousins and the sister in-law of Sharon Cousins.

 

Reta will be sadly missed by the Elliott family. She was predeceased by her sons Wayne and Paul Johnston, first husband Alvin Johnston, brothers Jim Cousins and Bob Cousins.

 

Reta loved to go to ball games and cheer on the 8th Liners. She loved camping and fishing and being outdoors. She was a very social person and made friends easily. She was a very dedicated friend and enjoyed everyone’s company. 

 

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Reta’s life will take place at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to Huronlea Volunteer Auxiliary or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
