Playoffs now in full swing for Blyth Brussels Crusaders teams

For many Blyth Brussels Crusaders teams, the playoffs are now in full swing, with full schedules ahead.
Tonight, Friday, Feb. 21, there are three playoff games on the schedule: the U11 Rep team will host the Kincardine Kinucks in Brussels, the U18 Rep team will play the AEMHA Ice Dogs in Chesley and the U21 Crusaders will welcome the Saugeen Valley Steelheads to Brussels.
In playoff action the next day, the U13 Rep team will play the Wingham Ironmen in Blyth, the U15 Rep team will play the Shallow Lake Lakers, also in Blyth, the U11 Rep team will play the Saugeen Shores Storm in Southampton and the U21 team will play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in Ripley. In regular season action that day, the U9 LL team will play the Minto Mad Dogs in Harriston, the U6 Crusaders will play the Howick Hornets in Brussels and the U7 Burgundy and White teams will play a pair of Listowel Cyclones teams, also in Brussels.
On Sunday, Feb. 23, the U13 Rep Crusaders and U21 team have playoff games with the Mount Forest Rams and Mid-Huron Huskies, both on the road, while there will be regular season games between the U8 White team and the Wallace Sabres and the U9 LL team and the Zurich Thunder, both in Blyth, in addition to games between the U9 MD Crusaders and the Kincardine Kinucks and the U7 Burgundy and White teams and a pair of Central Perth teams, all on the road.
On Monday, Feb. 24, the U15 Rep team will be on the road for a playoff game with the Shallow Lake Lakers and the U18 Rep Crusaders will host a playoff game in Blyth with the Goderich Sailors. The next day, the U11 Rep team will play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in playoff action in Lucknow, while the U9 LL Crusaders will play the Goderich Sailors Black team in regular season action.
Then, on Feb. 26, the U11 Rep team will play the Mitchell Meteors on the road and the U18 Rep team will play the Shallow Lake Lakers in Blyth, both playoff games, while the U9 MD team will play the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in Ripley in regular season action.
On Monday, Feb. 17, the U15 Rep team was scheduled to play the Listowel Cyclones on the road in some playoff action, but that game was cancelled. The next night, the U13 Rep team was scheduled to play the Ironmen in Wingham and the U15 Rep Crusaders were due to host the Listowel Cyclones in Brussels, both playoff games, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time.
On Feb. 19, the U11 Rep team was to host the Mitchell Meteors in Brussels for a playoff game, the same day as the U9 MD Crusaders were scheduled to play a regular season game with the Huron-Bruce Blizzard in Lucknow and the U9 LL team was to be in Bayfield for a regular season game with the Mid-Huron Huskies, but scores for those games were unavailable at press time. The next night, Feb. 20, the U18 Rep team was to be in Wingham for a playoff game with the Ironmen, but a score for that game was unavailable at press time.
Looking back at the week that was, on Feb. 16, the U9 MD team was to host the Kincardine Kinucks in Blyth, but that game was cancelled. On Feb. 15, the U9 MD Crusaders lost to the Mid-Huron Huskies in Blyth by a score of 6-0 and the U11 Rep team won its playoff game with the Saugeen Shores Storm in Brussels by a score of 3-2. Also that day, the U8 Burgundy team played the Ironmen in Wingham, the U7 Burgundy and White teams played a pair of South Bruce teams on the road and the U6 team played the Mid-Huron Huskies in Hensall, but scores were not kept for those games.
Last weekend, the U18 Rep Crusaders were in Exeter to take part in South Huron Minor Hockey’s annual Bill Batten Memorial Tournament, winning their first game on Friday against the Riverside Rangers by a score of 3-1, followed by a loss to the Mitchell Meteors later that evening by a score of 3-0. The next day, the team won its lone game with the Lucan Irish by a score of 4-3, ending their tournament.
Back on Wednesday, Feb. 12, the U18 LL Crusaders lost to the Mitchell Meteors in Blyth by a score of 11-0. Also that night, the U15 LL Crusaders were due to play the Mid-Huron Huskies in Hensall, but that game was cancelled. On Monday, Feb. 10, the U18 LL team hosted the Kincardine Kinucks in Blyth and sent them away on the wrong end of a 4-2 score.
