Patricia "Pat" Ann Arruda

Patricia Ann “Pat” Arruda, loving mother of Maria Miller and Michelle Arruda, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, on her 79th birthday at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels.

 

Pat was born on Oct. 21, 1941, near Belgrave, to parents Clifford Richard Logan and Dorothy Alberta Vincent. Her two brothers, Barry Michael (Isabelle) and Clifford Ralph (Linda) still reside in Huron County. Pat married Americo Vicente Arruda on Nov. 7, 1964, and lived in Toronto for over 20 years before locating to Fergus in 1985. Americo has since passed away. Pat originally studied to become a Mother’s Craft Well-Baby Nurse and later stayed at home with the girls.

 

Pat will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness and infectious laugh.  She was a fun and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be forever missed.

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Oct. 24 followed by a private service. Interment took place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County or the Huronlea Residents’ Council would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
