Oscar Anthony Ducharme

Oscar Anthony Ducharme passed away peacefully at Huron Residential Hospice on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 surrounded by family. He was in his 79th year.

Oscar was the beloved husband of Dorothea Ducharme (McArter) for 59 years and loving dad of Murray, Kim and Greg and Nanci.

He was grandfather of Jeff and Michelle McNichol, Tilynn Ducharme and Jacob Collison, Wyatt Ducharme and Carlie Ducharme, Amelia and Adam Armstrong, Alexandria and Paul Siciliano, Cole Paterson, Evan Ducharme and Tori Hinschberger, Danielle Ducharme and Chris Jutzi. Oscar was the great-grandfather of Brody and Aryia McNichol and Lincoln Collison, Emma, Kaleigh and James Armstrong and Remy Siciliano. He was the brother of Pat and Larry Keffer, Sharon and Gordon Berry and Barb and Jerry Laidlaw, Leslie and Frieda Ducharme, Darwin Ducharme and Bev Stevenson and the brother-in-law of Donna Fischer and Mel and Lois McArter.

Oscar was predeceased by parents Urban and Margaret and in-laws John and Elsie McArter, brother Dennis, Larry and sister Darlene, brothers-in-law Gerald and Jim McArter and Roy Fischer and special furry friend Samantha. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service for friends and family took place at Brussels Cemetery on Tuesday, Aug. 7.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Huron Residential Hospice, Wingham and District Hospital Foundation Oncology Department and Knox Presbyterian Church in Cranbrook.
