Orville George Storey
Orville George Storey, beloved husband of the late Lila Audrey Norris, passed away peacefully at his home in Clinton on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015. He was in his 97th year.
Orville enjoyed farming in McKillop Township until retiring to Clinton at the young age of 90. He was the cherished father of Shirley and John Stoll, Clinton; Gail and Alex Glanville, Melfort, Saskatchewan; Patricia and Lloyd Francis and Donna McLlwain, all of Goderich; Jack and Nancy Storey, Clinton; Sherry and Murray McCall, Walton and Gerald Storey, Clinton.
Orville was the loving grandfather of David and Carmen Jones, Sheila Jones, Jeff and Cara Stoll, Marcy Lauchlan and Shane Arnason, Bill and Dawne Glanville, Chelene and Marc Reindeau, Steve and Melanie Glanville, Rob Cooke, Katherine Van Massenhoven and Brian Crane, Suzy and Steve Panes, Kevin and Cathy McLlwain, Carrie and Brad Moore, Sandra and Jonathan Kochis, Chris Storey and Kristy Blackwell, Shawna McCall and Chris Murphy, Marcy and John McCall MacBain and Carali and Daniel Hughes and the loving great-grandfather of 37 and great-great-grandfather of one.
Orville will also be sadly missed by his brother and sister-in-law Ted and Bertha Storey, London; sister Mavis Guest, Kitchener; sisters-in-law Donna Flynn, Londesborough; Jean Storey and friend Charlie Rompf, Stratford; Dorothy Squire, Rodney; brother-in-law Boyd Hartwick, Stratford, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents John Henry Storey and Elizabeth Ann McLeod, sons-in-law Michael Taziar, Allen Cooke, Geoff Rayner, siblings Bill and Beryl Storey, Frank and Verna Storey, Joe and Sarah Storey, Tillie and Jock Earl, Kathleen and Wilmer Cuthill, Clara and Elmer Dale, Margaret and George Wasson, Charlie and Mary Storey, Elwood and Dorothy Storey, Harold and Helen Storey, Lloyd and Meryl Storey, Arnold and Irene Storey, Art Guest, and by siblings-in-law Ray and Leita Norris, Noni and Harvey Jacobi, Hugh and Annie Norris, Hazel and Don McLeod, Harry Norris, infant James Alvin, Margaret (Dolly) and John MacDougald, Dorothy and Ray Davis, Jack Norris, Hugh Flynn, Robert (Yogi) Norris, Celia Hartwick, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 20. A funeral service to celebrate Orville’s life was held at Northside United Church, Seaforth on Saturday, Nov. 21. A reception immediately followed in the Northside United Church Hall. Interment took place at Maitlandbank Cemetery in McKillop Township.
