Norman Ronald Young
Norman Ronald Young of Seaforth, passed away peacefully at the Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017. Born in Morris Township on Oct. 16, 1921, Norman was in his 96th year.
Norman was the beloved husband of Isabelle (nee Sellers) for 69 years and the loving father of Murray Young and his wife Debbie, Guelph; Ralph Young, RR 4, Walton; Nancy Young, Seaforth; Garry Young, Seaforth and Sandra Jessome and her husband Silby, Harpurhey. He was the cherished grandpa of 10, great-grandpa of 15 and great-great-grandpa of two.
Norman was predeceased by his parents Robert and Edna (née Mason) Young and siblings, Agnes, Archie, Elmer and Ernest (Estelle).
Norman was a veteran of World War II and a 77-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Visitation was held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from noon until the time of Norman’s Legion and funeral service at 2 p.m. Rev. Nick Vandermey officiated. A reception at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156 followed the service. Spring interment will take place in Brussels Cemetery.
