Neil Olson

Neil Olson of RR 5, Wingham, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday, July 20, 2018. He was 71.

Neil was the husband of the late Ruth Olson who predeceased him in 2017 and dear father of Joanne Olson and Brian Heard, Kitchener; Jeff Olson and Mickey Howes; Belgrave and Mark and Nicole Olson, Wingham. He was the special grandpa of Jordan Heard, Lyla Olson and Claira Olson. Neil was the brother of Arnold Olson, Edmonton; Wayne and Gail Olson, Edmonton and Patricia and David Woodworth, Calling Lake and the brother-in-law of Jim and Sheryl Coultes, Edmonton; Ken and Linda Coultes, Elmira; Doug Coultes, Ripley and Doris Coultes, Milverton. 

Neil was predeceased by his parents Fred and Olive Olson, sister Nola Ferster and her husband Donald, parents-in-law Norman and Mary Coultes and brother-in-law Grant Coultes.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 27 at 1 p.m. at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave followed by a celebration of Neil’s life at the Belgrave Community Centre from 2-5 p.m.

Memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
