Muriel Lila Whitfield (née Hackwell)

Muriel Lila Whitfield (née Hackwell) of Tiverton, passed away at Tiverton Park Manor on Saturday, July 11, 2015. She was in her 96th year.

Muriel was the beloved wife of the late Herman Whitfield and loving mother of Sharon (Gordon) Lamont and Lois (Lyle) Osborn, all of Kincardine. She was the cherished grandmother of Lori (Chris) Coughlin, Renee (Scott) Wylds, Brydon (Grace) Osborn, Brad (Sian) Osborn and Craig (Louise) Osborn. Muriel will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Cameron, Taylor, Carter and Carson, Brianna, Jacob, Owen, Quentin and Logan. Muriel was predeceased by her sisters Doris (Duncan) Foster and Olive (Elwood) Struthers.

Visitation will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Thursday, July 16 from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Rev. Jeanette Fleischer will officiate.  Interment will be in Ethel Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Tiverton Park Manor Residents’ Activity Fund, Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
