Muriel Gwen Stonham
After a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease, Muriel Gwen Stonham passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels, on Sept. 12. She was in her 76th year.
Muriel was the loving wife of Henry for 61 years; the beloved mother of Sharon Brodeur, Cindy (Rick) Keller, Tanya Stonham; grandmother of Roland, Aaron, Brian, Stephanie, Brittanie, Elizabeth, Michael and Alexa and great-grandmother of eight.
Muriel was the sister of Marilyn (Colin) Stonham, Eileen (John) VandeKemp and Linda (Brian) Pyke. She was predeceased by her sister Marjorie.
Muriel loved to do liquid embroidery, paint her wood crafts, sew and write poetry. She was a great mom and she loved her family very much. Muriel and Henry had a relationship like no other and were able to show their family what true love really is. Muriel had a strong faith and enjoyed reading the Bible and discussing its virtues. Muriel loved to travel with Henry, she was the navigator.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Huronlea Residents Council would be appreciated.
