'Mel' Melvin Keith McCutcheon

‘Mel’ Melvin Keith McCutcheon passed away peacefully at Huron Residential Hospice on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018. He was in his 78th year.

Mel was the beloved husband of Lois (Fitch) for 57 years and the loving dad of Karen and Bruce Taylor, Wayne and Kathleen McCutcheon and Steve and Holly McCutcheon. He was grandpa of Kirkland, Carson, Nolan and Ava and brother of Jack (Esther), Bob (Jeanette) and Marg (Bernell) Smith.

Mel was brother-in-law of Elwood (Lynda), Sharon McClory, Arthur (Jenifer), Kevin (Kathy) and Betty McCutcheon and will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be specially missed by furry friend Ola.

Mel was predeceased by his grandson Patrick, brothers Casey, George (Barb), Bill, Lorne, Fred (Mary), sister Anne (Lorne) Bryans, Berva (Jack) Rice and sister-in-law Gwen.

A private family visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m at Riverside Funeral Home, with a private interment to follow at St. John’s Anglican Cemetery.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at Brussels United Church.

In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brussels United Church or Clinton Residential Hospice would be appreciated. Cards of sympathy may be forwarded to Box 340, Brussels, Ontario.
