Mary (nee Harman) Lamb
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Lamb of Mississauga, with her devoted husband Clifford and her daughter Juanita by her side. Mary lost her battle with Alzheimer disease and cancer on May 22, 2022. She was 83.
Mary was born to William and Irene (Warwick) Harman in Wingham and she was raised on the Third Concession of Morris Township. Mary is also survived by her sister, Joyce Harman, and her in-laws Sonya Pollitt and Tessa and Martin Fee. She was a loving mother-in-law of Iris Lamb and doted on her grandchildren Arwen, Arya and Théoden. Mary was predeceased by her son, Bradley Lamb. Mary is fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, the Dixie Presbyterian Church community and friends.
Mary was a gifted musician, a talented seamstress, a highly versatile craftswoman, a skilled baker and master cake decorator. Over the years, many have benefited from her kindness and generosity in sharing these gifts. Everything she did was typically accompanied by a warm smile. She loved to laugh and her husband Cliff obliged by keeping the jokes coming for the 56 years they were together.
While Mary settled and made her life in the city, she often spoke of being a country girl at heart. She remained connected to her family and friends in the Brussels area, or “up home”, as she called it.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Mary’s life will take place at Dixie Presbyterian Church, 3065 Cawthra Road on Saturday, Aug. 6 at 2 p.m. followed by a time of fellowship. All are welcome to attend.
For those wishing to offer an expression of sympathy, the family requests that donations be made to the Dixie Presbyterian Church Foundation project. Online donations can be made by e-transfer (dixiepc@bellnet.ca) or through Canada Helps (www.canadahelps.org).
