Marie Vera McIntosh

On Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, Marie McIntosh, formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully at the age of 85.

 

Marie was the beloved wife of the late John McIntosh who predeceased her in 2014 and the devoted mother of Michael and Ella McIntosh, Sprucedale; David McIntosh, Tillsonburg; Robert and Brenda McIntosh, Walton; Kim Breyley, Ohio; Janet Koehler, Vanastra; Heather and Rod Jones, Lucknow; Chris and Stephanie McIntosh, Palmerston and Paul McIntosh, Crediton. 

 

Marie was the cherished grandma of 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister and sister-in-law of Corrine Logie, June Theander and Margaret McIntosh. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her several nieces and nephews and her extended family. She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Vera (Widmeyer) Gateman, daughter-in-law Carole McIntosh, sister Blanche Sickle (Glen), brother Mel Gateman, brothers-in-law Don McIntosh (Mary) and Richard McIntosh and sisters-in-law Patricia Pullen (Roy) and Elizabeth McIntosh.

 

A celebration of Marie’s life will be held at the Belgrave Park Pavilion on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. with refreshments and socializing to follow. We kindly ask that those attending, please bring a chair. Interment took place at Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave on Wednesday, Aug. 18. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to your local food bank or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
