Margaret Sleightholm

Margaret Sleightholm, formerly of Wingham, passed away at Huronview Home for the Aged, Clinton, on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022. She was 94.

 

Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Elmer Sleightholm and the devoted mother of Elgin and Lindsay Sleightholm, St. Thomas; David and Eileen Sleightholm, Goderich; Lloyd and Beverly Sleightholm, Wingham; Phyllis and Dalton Noels, Crediton and Janet and Bill Burnel, Fenelon Falls. She was the loving grandmother of 12, the great-grandmother of 22 and the dear sister of Harvey Bolton and sister-in-law of Marie Bolton. Margaret will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.

 

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Robert and Rosetta (Smith) Bolton, great-granddaughter Emily, sisters Shirley Bolton, Olive Davis (Harold), Etta Dickieson (George), Bertha Tout (Earl), and Myrtle Sleightholm (Nelson), and brothers Gordon Bolton (Theresa), John Bolton (Jean) and Ivan Bolton.

 

The funeral service was held on Saturday, Nov. 5 with visitation one hour prior. Interment took place at Wingham Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Ontario Brain Injury Association, Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
