Margaret Eleanor MacLeod
Margaret Eleanor MacLeod (nee McCluer) of Oakville passed away at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Saturday, June 27, 2015. She was 94.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Norman MacLeod and the loving mother of Stephen Alexander MacLeod, Barrie; Neil Douglas MacLeod (Dawn), Brussels and Laurel Anne MacLeod (Enrique Aldaz), Oakville. She was the dear sister of Jean Crocker of Port Hope. Margaret was predeceased by one son, Robert John MacLeod, one brother, Robert McCluer and by sisters Harriet Reid and Alma McCluer. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith McCluer (nee Palmer). Margaret is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Craig, Katherine, Christopher, Kenneth, Kaitlyn, Guin, Andrew, Margarita, Laurelita, Cristinita, Sarita and Peter and by one great-grandchild, Ava Amy Elizabeth Whittaker.
A graveside service was held at the Kenyon Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dunvegan on Tuesday, June 30. Interment will follow. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro and Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., Alexandria. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 4 at
1 p.m. at Brussels Mennonite Fellowship.
As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Gideon Bible Society would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Margaret, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows – memories live.
