Mabel Jacklin

Mrs. Mabel Jacklin of Wingham, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. She was 85.

Mabel was the beloved wife of Leslie Jacklin, Wingham and dear mother of Elizabeth and Ken Cowan, South Surrey, British Columbia and Rick and Vicki Jacklin, RR1, Wroxeter. She was the cherished grandma of Sarah and Bob Boertien, Matthew Cowan and Rachel Adair, Melissa Cowan and Aaron Biliski, Jarryd Jacklin and Meagan Chamney, Jamael Jacklin and Courtney Clark and Jordan and Jen Jacklin. Mabel was the great-grandma of Zack and Hannah Boertien, Jadyn, Keeton, Ryland, Presley and Julia Jacklin. She was the sister of Isabelle Hislop, Mae Thorpe and Edith Quipp and the sister-in-law of Leonard and Ully Jacklin, Don Jacklin, Joyce O’Connell and Glen Jacklin.

Mabel was predeceased by her parents Meldrum and Viola (Sharpin) Sanburn, son Reuben Jacklin (2002), brothers Charles and Jack Sanburn and brothers-in-law George Hislop, Harry Thorpe, Harold Quipp, and Eric O’Connell.

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Sunday, Dec. 9. The funeral service was held in the chapel on Monday, Dec. 10.
