Ken Wilbee
Ken Wilbee, formerly of Listowel, passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Monday, May 20, 2019. He was 96.
Ken was a member of Calvary United Church, Listowel. He was a saxophone player in the Ken Wilbee Band for over 40 years and the band played in Parkview Gardens for over 25 years. Ken had a love for cattle and farming. In retirement, he and his first wife Grace established and operated Napanee Apple Orchard.
Ken was the beloved husband of the late Grace (Dennis) Wilbee and Isabel (Pearson) Wilbee and the loving father of June (Howard) Giles, Ruth (Philip) Paul and Bruce (Heather) Wilbee. He was the cherished grandpa of Pamela, Heather, Erin, Ken, Julie, Christine, Patricia, Melissa, and Rebecca. He will be missed by many great-grandchildren. He was the brother-in-law of Eunice Wilbee. Ken will be remembered by stepchildren Don (Kathy) Pearson, Bob (Theresa) Pearson, Bill (Brenda) Pearson and by many nieces, nephews and the extended Dennis and Pearson families.
Ken was predeceased by his parents Russ and Edna (Carr) Wilbee, brothers Roy Wilbee and Ian (Elva) Wilbee.
Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood on Saturday May 25 from 10 a.m. to noon followed by the funeral service to celebrate Ken’s life at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Russell officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel.
