Kathleen Mary (Gerber) Steckley

Kathleen Mary (Gerber) Steckley of RR 1, Bluevale, passed away as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Born in Wellesley Township on July 17, 1944, Kathleen was in her 71st year.

Kathleen was the beloved wife for 53 years of Arnold. She will be sadly missed by her children Warren and Denise Steckley, Fort McMurray, Alberta and Sherry and Chris Tice, Waterloo. Kathleen was the loving grandmother to Emma, Hannah and Ryan and the dear sister of Florence Rasmussen, Milverton. She was predeceased by her parents Samuel and Edna Gerber.

Friends were received by the family on Sunday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home. The funeral service was conducted at Brussels Mennonite Fellowship on Monday, June 1. Pastor Ken Gazley officiated.

Acting as pallbearers were John Rasmussen, Duane Steckley, Gerald Steckley, Wayne Bridge, Ted Browen and Bruce Jantzi. Burial was in Brussels Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Brussels Mennonite Fellowship would be appreciated by the family.
