Joyce Isabel McClure (née Pfaff)
Peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Joyce Isabel McClure (née Pfaff) passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 at Seaforth Long Term Care Home. In her 81 years among us, Joyce brightened the world around her with ways of love, caring and laughter. Her smile brightened everyone’s day. Her countless volunteer hours shaped the life and times of our community.
Predeceased by her husband Don (2014), Joyce will be lovingly remembered by their children, Janice (Doug) Leonhardt, Debbie (Dennis) Murray, Cheryl McClure (Jimmy), James (Ann) McClure and Keith (Alisa) McClure. Cherishing memories of a very special grandma are Christa (Kelly), Adam (Lisa), Mike (Stacey), Curtis (Nicole), Kevin (Jaime), Nick, Keenan, Kelti, and 12 great-grandchildren. Joyce will be fondly remembered by her sisters Greta Baker and Marjorie (Doug) Gibbings and will also be missed by Don’s siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Reunited with her husband Don, we trust that Joyce’s spirit also joins her parents Nelson and Jean (née MacDonald) Pfaff, brother-in-law Murray Baker and all those in her family circle who have gone on before us.
Visitation took place at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. A funeral service to honour Joyce’s life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 11a.m. A reception will follow at Cavan United Church, 81645 North Line Road, Winthrop. Spring interment in Maitlandbank Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of one’s choice. Online condolences can be made by visiting Joyce’s memorial at www.mcglynnfamilyfuneral home.com
