Joyce Hodgins

Joyce Hodgins of Wingham passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021.  She was 94. 

 

Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Jack E. Hodgins who predeceased her in 2006. She was the devoted mom of Dave and Melinda Hodgins and Rick and Joanne Hodgins, all of Wingham and Cathy and Gordon Hill, Cobourg. She was the loving grandma of Jordan, Brock and Spencer Hodgins, Trevor Hodgins and Janet, Kyle Hodgins and Gab, Chris Hill and Gina, Scott and Holly Hill and Nicole and Brent Cowan and the special great-grandma of Huxley, Tye, Logan, Blake and Natalie. 

 

Joyce was predeceased by her parents William and Alma (Cathers) Jardine, twin brother William Jardine in infancy, brother Glenn Jardine and his wife Mary, sister Dorothy McDonald, and brother-in-law Arthur and his wife Alice Hodgins. 

 

Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Friday, Sept. 10. A private funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Sept. 11. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
