Johanna “Joan” Lubbers

Johanna “Joan” Lubbers, 90, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour peacefully at the West Perth Village Seniors’ Community on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023.

 

Beloved wife of the late Bert Lubbers (1999).  Dear mother of George Lubbers (Jo-Ann), Jack Lubbers (Nancy) and Steve Lubbers (Susie). Loving grandmother of Bradley (Jennifer), Jessica (Quentin), Stephanie, Jennifer (Jeff), Katie, Nicholas (Robyn), Daniel (Olivia), Nathan, Derek, Josh (Bea), Rachel (Derrick), Isaac (Rachel), Maria (Derek) and Rebecca (Hendrik).  Cherished great grandmother of Janelle, Kyle, Carson, Haiden, Benjamin, Micaiah, Naomi, Aria, Rory, Charlette, Lyndi and Tate. Dear sister-in-law of Grace Benjamins. Lovingly remembered by the Lubbers family.

 

Predeceased by her parents Jan and Geesje Benjamins, brothers Jan, Evert, and Gerrit Benjamins, sisters Jantje Schepers (Henk), Aaltje Vos (Jan), Jantina Zomer (Rex), and Alice Lubbers (Peter).

 

Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal Street in Mitchell on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Joan's funeral service was held at Bethel Free Reformed Church in Mitchell on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Bethel Munro Cemetery. A reception followed at the church.
