Joanne Pearl (Easom) Lyon

Joanne Pearl Lyon (Easom), 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 with her family by her side.  

 

Joanne was born Oct. 17, 1936 in Clinton Public Hospital to Roy and Grace Easom. She married Albert (Bert) Lyon, the love of her life, in June, 1957, who preceded her in death in February 2018. 

 

She was an R.N.A. and worked at Clinton Public Hospital where she was known as a compassionate and caring nurse. 

 

Joanne is survived by her sister Marlene Baer and her husband, Ron, Saltford; three children and their spouses, Wayne and Jane Lyon, Clinton; Kathy and Ron Moes, Merritt, British Columbia; Cheryl and Calvin Bakelaar, Auburn; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and her many nephews and nieces. All of whom she loved and touched deeply. 

 

Public visitation for Joanne Lyon was held at Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton Chapel, on Tuesday, Nov. 2. There was a private celebration of life for the dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Wednesday, Nov. 3. The service was live streamed and will remain available on the website for viewing at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com. Interment was at Blyth Union Cemetery. 
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Londesborough United Church or the Children’s Aid Society would be greatly appreciated.
