Jim Smith

Jim Smith of Clinton, formerly of Dungannon, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016. He was in his 65th year.
Jim was the loving father of Tammy Dowell, Vanastra; Adam and Sandy Dowell, Clinton; Jerry Smith and Amanda McCrate, Goderich and Justin Smith, Sudbury. He was the grandfather of Cassy (Wade) Jewell, Darrin Dowell, Chance Smith, Tyler Dowell, Preston Rean and great-grandfather of Eleena and Jase Jewell. Jim was the dear brother of Gary and Mary Smith, Dungannon and Rita Neill, Goderich. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews and brother Alvin Smith. Jim was the special friend of Bev Ohm, Goderich and her children Heather, Trish and Rob Ohm.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Henry and Edna Smith,  siblings Lawrence Smith, John Smith and Edna Smith, son Jason Smith and brother-in-law George Neill.
At Jim’s request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 from 2 - 4 p.m. at 169 Queen St., Clinton.
Donations to the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
