Jean Isabel (née Caldwell) Woods
Jean Isabel Woods (née Caldwell) of Petrolia, formerly of Blyth, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. She was 61.
Jean was the loved sister of Linda (Phil) Powers, Oil Springs and Gary (Linda Brandon) Caldwell, Blyth. She was the special and loved friend of Glen Bicknell, Petrolia and cherished niece of Edna MacDonald, Clinton.
Jean is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Gordon and Catherine Caldwell, Blyth.
A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Jean had a deep love of learning and was a talented musician, teaching piano in the Petrolia area for many years. An artist to her very core, Jean is a published poet, a visual artist and was especially dedicated to the Lambton County Music Festival. She will be missed by her church family at St. Philip’s Parish.
Visitors will be received on Friday, Sept. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 at
11 a.m. Interment of cremated remains will be in Hillsdale Cemetery.
