Jack Shiell

Jack Shiell of Wingham, passed away at Wingham and District Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022. He was 93.

 

Jack was the beloved husband of the late Bonnie (Zimmerman) Shiell, who predeceased him in 2013. He was the cherished dad of Jane Shiell, Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands; Doug and Sherry Shiell, RR5, Wingham; Don and Connie Shiell, RR3, Wingham, and Brian Shiell, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. Jack was the loving grandpa of Teresa and Mahal de Castro, J.D. and Kate Shiell, Matt Shiell and Shannon Wilhelm, Ryan Shiell, Chris Shiell and Lauren Bos, Andrea and Muhammad Zeeshan and Lindsay Shiell and the great-grandpa of Isabella, Tatum, Cayson and Gracelyn. 

 

He was the dear brother and brother-in-law of Doris Stephens, London; Marilyn Shiell, London; Murray and Barb Shiell, Belgrave; Jean Andari, Windsor, and Karen Zimmerman, Stratford. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  

 

Jack was predeceased by his parents Charles and Pearl (Congram), brothers-in-law Jack Stephens and Harry Zimmerman (Georgina), Bill Zimmerman and sisters-in-law Betty Andari, Velma Jacques (Addie), Audrene Galloway (Wes) and Harry Templeman.
Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Nov. 2. The funeral service was held on Nov. 3 in the funeral home chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Interment took place at Wingham Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
