Helen Adelaide (Johnston) MacLean
Helen Adelaide (née Johnston) MacLean passed away peacefully at Mitchell Nursing Home on Aug. 3, 2021. She was 89.
Helen was the beloved wife of the late Grant MacLean (1994) and the dear sister of Doris McKinley, the late Leona Armstrong and the late Joan (Dwight) Campbell.
Helen was predeceased by parents Leila (Lawson) and Harvey and special companion Robert “Bob” Jewell. She is survived by brothers-in-law Jim Armstrong and Berne McKinley.
Helen was the treasured aunt of several nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be missed by many family members and friends.
Helen’s enthusiasm, faith and willingness to serve were an example for all who knew her. She enjoyed her many years of working at Anstett Jewellers in Clinton and Exeter. Helen’s joy for life was evident in her volunteer capacity as Knobby the Clown. The hundreds of finger puppets she made brought joy to many children around the world.
Helen led a full life and will be remembered for her positive outlook, no matter the situation.
A private family funeral service was held at Haskett Funeral Homes, Exeter on Friday, Aug. 6. Interment at Exeter Cemetery.
