Harvey Clarke
Harvey Clarke of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday Aug. 14, 2017. He was 83.
Harvey was first and foremost a farmer, a former 4-H leader and square dance caller. He enjoyed coaching hockey and square dancing.
Harvey was the beloved husband of Marg (Conley) Clarke, whom he married in 1958 and loving father of Shirley and Alan Baker and their children Thomas (Nicole); Sara (Brian), Emily (Cody), and Isaac (Tasha); Murray and Sharon Clarke and their children Torie (Derek), Alanis (Ryan) and Austin; Brian Clarke and Jackie Birk; Tracy Courtney and her children Jillian (Graeme), Scott (Jess) and Tina; Paul and Tanya Clarke and their children Travis, Matthew and Samuel. He was the special great-gramps of Bexlie and brother of Vivien Laidlaw, Cecil Clarke (Barb), Ruth Kirkpatrick and Linda Clark. He will be fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Wilma and Doug Rathwell, Doug and Virginia Conley, many nieces and nephews and Dave Courtney.
Harvey was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Hazel (Raynard) Clarke, brothers-in-law Ken Laidlaw and Russell Kirkpatrick and sister-in-law Louise Clarke.
There was no visitation. The funeral service to celebrate Harvey’s life was held at the Elma Memorial Community Centre on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017. Rev. Colin Snyder officiated. Interment was in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements were entrusted to Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood.
