Harold Richard Davis
Harold Richard Davis passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014. Born in Peel Township, County of Wellington on May 24, 1919, Harold was in his 96th year.
Harold was the beloved husband for 43 years of the late Iva (Scott) Davis and will be sadly missed by his children Scott and Sharon Davis, Palm Coast, Florida; Joan Bowman, Waterloo; Sharon Davis, Blyth and Bonnie and Ronnie Cleghorn, Wingham. He was the dear grandfather of Kevin, Tracey and Bob, Sheryl and Bob, Tammy and Andy, Kerri and Wade, Randy and Janine, Susan and Rich, Mark and Kathy, Shane, Ricky, Stacia and Steve and Stephanie and Yudel He will be lovingly remembered by great-grandchildren Dakota, Stephan, Cooper, Kayla, Brandon, Tucker, Riley, Braeden, Alex, Lucas, Victoria, Jami, Jadyn, Jesse, Maddison, McKenzie and Tyler and his great-great-grandson Bentley James Murray Grice.
Harold was the dear brother of Leone Hill, Kitchener and Merla Calder, Harriston and brother-in-law of Wilma Culp, Damascus and Neil McDougall, Elmira. He was also loved by his many nieces and nephews. Harold was predeceased by his long-time friend Bessie Campbell, his parents Ernie and Lottie, his granddaughter Kimberley Cleghorn, his great-granddaughter Brooklyn Boettcher, his son-in-law Earl Bowman, his sisters-in-law Grace Scott and Noreen McDougall, his brothers-in-law Harry Scott, Murray Culp, Wade Hill and Archie Calder and his granddaughter-in-law Stacey Davis.
According to Harold’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at the Brussels Legion on Saturday, April 18 at 2 p.m. His cremated remains will be interred at Drayton Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
