Harold G. Steffler
Harold G. Steffler (formerly of Brussels), passed away peacefully on November 30, 2022, in Ottawa. He was 106 years old.
Harold was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (nee Hoelscher), his parents Katherine and Lincoln, siblings Ralph, Norman and Marie, and son-in-law Gerry Brownlee. He leaves to mourn daughter Gail Brownlee (Gerry), sons John (Susan Gillis) and Paul (Verlé Harrop), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Harold was born in Elmira. Harold and Dorothy raised their family in Milliken near Toronto before moving to Brussels. In later years, Harold lived in Campbell River, British Columbia, Saint John, New Brunswick, and Perth, Ontario. He served with the Canadian Army in Europe during World War II. Harold was known for his skilled cabinet-making and harmonica playing.
