Gwen Lavis

Mrs. Gwendolyn Devona “Gwen” Lavis of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s residence in Blyth on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021. She was in her 96th year.

 

Gwen was the beloved wife of the late John Lavis (2009), and the loving mother and mother-in-law of Bryan and Carol Lavis, Paul and Joy Lavis, Gordon and Anne Lavis, Allan Lavis, and Anne Elliott and Les Cook, Blyth. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, John Lavis and Becky Seres, Sherri and Jeff Eby, Darrell Lavis and Jean Cook, McKenna Lavis and Stephen Mallison, Layne Lavis, Leeanne and Scott Middleton, Kathy Lavis and Jamie Hickling, Bart Lavis, Nathania Lavis and Patrick Bass, Russell Lavis, Michaela Lavis, Heather Elliott and Jeff Levine, and Jeff and Kristy Elliott.

 

Gwen was also loved by her great-grandchildren, Samantha Eby (Aaron), Justin Eby, Ashley Lavis (Ryan Bushfield), Meghan Lavis (Reece Potter), Jonny Lavis, Autumn Lavis, Avery Lavis, Bailee Lavis, Brodie and Jackson Seres, Noah Middleton, Ashlyn Edwards, Teaguen Edwards, Olive Lavis, Lyric Lavis, Lennon Bass, Kaydin Bass, Ally Elliott, Ainsley Elliott and Ruby Levine. She will be forever in the hearts of her great-great-grandchildren, Jace and Kesler Potter.  She was predeceased by her parents William and Kate Routledge.  

 

Friends were received at the Clinton United Church on Wednesday, Dec. 29. A private family funeral service was held at Clinton United Church on Thursday, Dec. 30. Interment will be held at Clinton Cemetery.
