Grant Williams

Grant Williams of Brussels, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at Seaforth Community Hospital. Born in Port Huron, Michigan on April 22, 1931, Grant was in his 84th year.

Grant was the beloved husband for 63 years of Jean and will be sadly missed by his children Mary Stretton and her husband Frank, Brussels; Edgar Williams and his wife Angie, Acton and Les Williams and his wife Brenda, Milton. He was the loving grandfather of Margaret and Dave Speer, Grant and Cindy Jarvis, Lesley Stretton, Brendan Stretton, Harmony Williams, Spencer Williams, Garrett Williams, Meghann and Ryan Samson, Justine Williams and Ryan Williams and great-grandfather of Ben and James Speer and Violet Williams. Grant was also loved by his brothers Dr. Gordon Williams and his wife Shirley and George Williams, his sister Mary Lou Grenier and brother-in-law Albert Walker. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen, his brother-in-law Mark, sister-in-law Loretta and a brother in infancy.

According to his wishes, Grant was cremated immediately. A celebration of Grant’s life will be held at the Salvation Army - Wingham Corps on Saturday, May 2 where friends will be received at 12 p.m., one hour prior to the celebration at 1 p.m.

Interment of Grant’s cremated remains will take place at Brussels cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army - Wingham Corps or to the Alzheimer Society of Huron County and would be appreciated by the family.
