Gerald "Gerry" Jutzi

Gerald “Gerry” Jutzi of Brussels, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at Listowel Memorial Hospital.  Born in Kitchener on May 29, 1955, Gerry was 60 years of age.

Gerry was the beloved husband for 33 years of Julie (Bartliff) and will be sadly missed by his children Kendall and Andrew Behrns, Kurtzville and Travis Jutzi, Brussels. He was the dear son of Grace Jutzi, Goderich and brother of Jim and Lyn Jutzi, RR 2, Bluevale and Neil Jutzi, RR 1, Wroxeter. Gerry was the son-in-law of Doug and Helen Bartliff and brother-in-law of Peggy and Jim Middleton and Cathy Murray, all of Clinton. He was also loved by his nieces, nephews and many close friends. Gerry was predeceased by his son Craig and his father, George.

Cremation has already taken place and the family received friends at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home on Friday. Gerry’s life was celebrated at Brussels United Church on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Gary Clark. Remembrances of Gerry were given by Nancy Walker, John Hudson and his daughter Kendall.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Listowel Hospital Foundation or the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated by the family.

Gerry’s family would like to express a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and many other staff of the Victoria Hospital, London, ENT and Thoracic Units, as well as those at the Listowel Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Gerry.
