Gene Larry Arthur Thompson

Mr. Gene Larry Arthur Thompson of RR 2, Bluevale, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, April 6, 2018. He was in his 77th year. 

Gene was the husband of the late Judith Thompson; father of Larry and Wanda Thompson and Dan and Marie Thompson, all of Listowel and grandfather of Megan, Dawn and Abby.

Gene was the brother of Dawn Brown and Lynda and Larry Legate, all of Guelph and Bonita and Dave Hodgkinson, Kelowna, British Columbia and brother-in-law of Doreen Eccelstone.

He was predeceased by his infant daughter Elizabeth, his sister Dot Manfini and her husband James, sister Patricia Douglas and her husband William and sister Gertrude Pringlemeir and her husband Frank, his brother Sonny Thompson and brother-in-law Albert Brown. 

Visitation was held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on April 8.  The funeral service was held at Calvary United Church, Listowel on Monday, April 9. Rev. George Russell officiated. Spring interment is in Belsyde Cemetery, Fergus.
