Gail (Manning) Lear

Mrs. Gail (Manning) Lear of Goderich passed away peacefully at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022. She was in her 90th year.  

 

Gail was the beloved wife of the late Harry E. Lear and the loving mother and mother-in-law of Danny and Debbie Lear, London and Dave and Lori Lear, Clinton.  She was the grandmother of William Lear and the dear sister and sister-in-law of June and Stan Johns, Tuckersmith Twp., and June Crawford, London.  Gail will also be loved and missed by several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary Manning, in-laws Doris Lear, Helen Underwood, Stan Crawford, George Underwood, niece Amber Underwood, and nephew Marc Crawford.  

 

Gail was, for many years, the organist and choir director at Londesborough United Church. Playing music was a passion and Gail never missed an opportunity to play when called upon.  

 

At Gail’s request cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gail’s life will be held at Londesborough United Church on Saturday, Oct. 1 with visitation commencing from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m.

 

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Londesborough United Church, Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
