Eileen (Weppler) Fischer
Eileen (Weppler) Fischer of Wingham, passed away at her home on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023. She was 74.
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Art Fischer, who predeceased her in 1998, and the loving mom of Tracey and Doug Nicholson and Susanne and Bruce Campbell, all of Bluevale. She was the devoted nana of Coral and Ben Gingrich, Anna and Sean Cook, Greg and Cathy Nicholson, John Nicholson and Tori Stacey, Derreck and Janessa Campbell, Kendra and Cody McKeachnie and Kerri Campbell, and the cherished great-grandma of Mackenzie, Parker, Elliott, Raelynn, Macie, Cassidy, Chase, Ace, Levi, Viola and Avery.
Eileen was the sister and sister-in-law of Ruth Schlorff, Doris and Keith Lerch, Carol Weppler and Kathy Weppler. She will be lovingly remembered by Art’s siblings and their large extended family.
Eileen was predeceased by her parents Norman and Adeline (Baetz) Weppler, sons Bradley and Robert in infancy, siblings Walter Weppler (Marlene), Roy Weppler, Allan Weppler (Julia), Madeline Flood (Carl), brother-in-law Harold Schlorff and parents-in-law Gregory and Anna (Huber) Fischer.
Visitation was held at McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham on Jan. 12. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, Jan. 13 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Wingham Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Wingham Legion, Sacred Heart Church or a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
