Edith Roney

Edith Roney of Mitchell, passed away peacefully at University Hospital, London on Monday, Dec. 19, 2016.  She was 80.
Edith was the beloved wife of the late Arnold Roney (2002) and the dear mother of Roger Roney, Mary Lee Ens (Paul), Glen Roney and Laurel Ann Engel (Peter). She was the loving grandmother of Michelle, Nancy and Michael Roney, Rebecca, Brittany (Will), Kelly and Erica Roney, Nicholas (Kelsey) and Jennifer Engel. Edith was also the cherished great-grandmother of Ari and Charlie and the dear sister of Lila McClinchey (Norman), Edna Ford (Eddie) and Ellen Jackson (Ralph). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Edith was predeceased by her parents John and Florence Daer, brother Robert Daer and grandson Steven.
Friends were received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, Mitchell on Wednesday, Dec. 21 and until the time of the funeral service on Dec. 22. Pastor William Kramer officiated.
A reception followed at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Spring interment will be in Knox Presbyterian Cemetery.
