Donald James Steinacker

Donald James Steinacker of Brussels, formerly of Mitchell, passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels, on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017. Born on Feb. 15, 1932, he was in his 86th year.

Predeceased by his parents Aaron and Margaret (nee Miller) Steinacker, Don is survived by and will be dearly missed by his friends.  

He had a great love for livestock and was a well-respected livestock drover. 

A funeral service to celebrate Don’s life will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at 3 p.m.  Rev. Christine Hossack will officiate, with a reception to follow in the Egmondville United Church Hall. Spring interment will take place in Maitlandbank Cemetery, McKillop Township.

Memorial donations to the Huronlea Auxiliary, the Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation or the charity of choice are appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
