David Owen Cartwright

David Owen Cartwright of Blyth, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021. He was in his 60th year. 

 

David was the beloved husband of Shari Cartwright, the loving father of Ashley and Andrew Perry, Tillsonburg; Brittany Cartwright and Tyler Cartwright, both at home and the devoted papa of Cameron and Conner. 

 

David is survived by his siblings Derrick and Donnia Cartwright, London and Lorie and Doug Ferrell, Cambridge. He will be sadly missed by his in-laws Rev. Pat and Bob Cook, Tillsonburg, and Ann and Dave Hoskings, St. Thomas. David will also be missed by nieces and nephews Christopher, Evangelitsa, Amanda, Lesley, Jason, and his beloved hunting companion Doc. 

 

David was predeceased by his parents Don and Erma Cartwright, his grandparents-in-law Don and Dorothy Bruce and Dessie Cook. 

 

David was very active in scouting and in his church and was freely giving of his time to various service organizations. He was a skilled woodworker and an avid outdoorsman. 

 

Cremation has taken place. A private family funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Blyth. Friends and family are invited to come and go on Saturday, Sept. 11 between 1:30 and 4 p.m. at the Blyth Lions Park. 

 

Memorial donations to Trinity Anglican Church or Scouts Canada (First Blyth Scouts in memo line on cheques) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
