Darrell Leroy Wood

Darrell Leroy Wood of Blyth,  passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Clinton Public Hospital, on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019. He was in his 84th year.  

Darrell was the beloved husband of Shirley (Patterson) Wood and the loving father of Teresa (Bob) Watkins, Perry Wood and Glenda (Mark) Chaput. He was the cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  

Darrell was the dear brother of Doris (Robert) Ripley, Ernest (Wavey) Wood and brother-in-law of Bill Patterson. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews. Darrell was predeceased by his granddaughter Kristie Chaput and brother-in-law Ken Patterson.  

At Darrell’s request cremation has taken place. There will be a private family spring interment of ashes.  

As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Blyth Legion Branch 420 Building Fund or the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
